Terms

Terms of Service

Effective date: 23 May 2026 · Governed by the laws of India.

These Terms govern your use of Nexigrate (the “Service”), available at nexigrate.com, app.nexigrate.com, and our APIs at api.nexigrate.com. By creating an account or by using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Who we are

Nexigrate is operated by the Nexigrate team based in India (“we”, “us”, “our”). You can reach us at hello@nexigrate.com.

2. Eligibility

The Service is intended for students preparing for Indian school and competitive exams. Users under 18 should use the Service with the knowledge and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. We comply with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 in how we handle personal data of minors and welcome parents to write to us if they have any concerns about an account.

3. Accounts and verification

You sign in with a Google account or, when available, a phone-based one-time password. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for all activity under your account. We may ask you to complete identity verification before granting access to paid plans or higher rate limits.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • resell, redistribute, or republish our content without permission;
  • scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract content at scale;
  • circumvent rate limits, paywalls, or anti-abuse controls;
  • upload content that is illegal, defamatory, or violates the rights of others;
  • use the Service to cheat in a real exam or to facilitate cheating by others;
  • impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation.

5. Subscriptions and payments

Free use of the Service is subject to fair-use rate limits. Paid plans (Starter, Pro, Elite) are billed in Indian Rupees and processed by Razorpay. We do not store full card numbers on our servers. Each payment buys a fixed period (one month or one year). Subscriptions do not auto-renew; you choose to start a new period when the current one ends. We do not issue refunds on completed payments — cancellation rules and how we make things right when the Service is materially broken are described in our Cancellation and No-Refund Policy.

6. Educational content

Multiple-choice questions, explanations, and study notes are derived from publicly available NCERT textbooks, previous-year question papers, and government-published syllabus materials, used under fair-use educational provisions with original publishers credited. AI-generated drafts pass through a 3-layer AI verification pipeline (cross-checking outputs across OpenAI, Gemini, and Groq Llama models from three different model families) before they are published in the daily MCQ stream. Outputs that fall below our confidence threshold are auto-regenerated rather than shown to students. We do not guarantee that any specific question will appear in any specific exam.

7. Intellectual property

The Nexigrate name, logo, design system, code, and original copy on this site are owned by us. You retain ownership of anything you submit to the Service (notes, feedback, draft answers); you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use that content to operate and improve the Service.

8. Privacy

Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and request deletion of your account by emailing us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, after reasonable notice except in cases of clear abuse, fraud, or legal risk to us or other users.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. While we work hard to keep content accurate, we cannot guarantee uptime, freedom from errors, or fitness for any specific exam. Use of the Service does not guarantee any particular score or outcome.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) ₹1,000. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page and, where relevant, by email at least 7 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute that we can’t resolve by friendly conversation will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka.

14. Contact

Questions, complaints, or DPDP grievances: hello@nexigrate.com. We aim to respond within 7 working days.
